I first featured Malika Sood (@maliika_s) way back in 2019! Then, she was a 21 year old student pursuing her education in Alternative Medicine and Acupuncture and her Bachelors of Science. Through her lash studio she was also offering free lashes for patients of the Tom Baker Cancer Centre after witnessing her mom’s struggles with her cancer treatment.
She shared, “When my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, I saw the power of volunteers and how they make a huge difference just by a small initiative. From drivers, to beauty instructors, everyone does what they can with no expectation of receiving anything in return except the happiness from being able to help.”
Now, Malika’s business has grown into @AmaviWellnessClinic, offering a variety of treatments to help you achieve your health and beauty goals and she continues to give back to the community.
“I started Amavi with a small lashing business that offered free lashes to women who had lost their hair and lashes due to chemotherapy. Soon after, more services were added, and the business grew into something much bigger. Today, we offer a variety of treatments, including acupuncture, Chinese medicine, skin care treatments, facials, laser, cosmetic acupuncture, and custom herbal blends for skin health and overall wellness.
At Amavi Wellness, we are committed to giving back to our community. We have participated in a number of charitable initiatives, including raising over $3000 for the Canadian Cancer Society, distributing hampers to the Mustard Seed and YWCA for Christmas since 2019, and providing wheelchairs to individuals in need through our Wheels for Wellness program. We believe that by working together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of those around us.

Amavi Wellness is proud to have organized a charity gala to support the Canadian Cancer Society. Through the hard work of our team, led by owner Malika Sood, and the generosity of everyone who purchased tickets, we raised $2,281 for cancer research and patient care. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success—together, we’re making a difference!
Mustard Seed Christmas Hampers
Every Christmas, Amavi Wellness is committed to giving back to the community by creating hampers for the homeless in Calgary. These hampers include essential hygiene items, snacks, toques, mittens, and other necessities to help those in need during the holiday season. We are grateful to our clients and community members who support this initiative, helping us spread warmth and care to those who need it most.
